Today (17 March 2015) officials inspected the Border Patrol Police base at Ban Rotan Batu, Kaluwo Nuea Subdistrict, Mueang Narathiwat District, to find evidence after last night (16 March) a sniper shot into the base, causing Sgt. Kopong Bun-on, squad leader of the 42nd Border Patrol Police Regiment, to be shot in the area below the left breast, seriously injured.
